During my adult life I have taken every opportunity to personally study
and play the great master Italian instruments of the 16th, 17th, and 18th
centuries. I developed a feeling for the flowing lines and beautiful
proportions these instruments exhibit. More importantly, I've come to
appreciate their magical sound qualities; both from the point of view
of the listener and the player.
